Dear delegates, welcome to the ethics committee of the AMMUN 2020. My name is Nour, and I am the chair of this committee. During the last three years, I have done many MUNs as a delegate in different committees, and I have learned a lot. The Model United Nations really is an extremely enriching experience since it’s an amazing opportunity to learn how to debate, to voice your opinion, but also to meet new people. It is a chance for us, students, to acquire more political knowledge as well as develop our oral and diplomatic skills. For this year’s AMMUN, an interesting theme has been chosen: “The dystopic anticipation” which I believe will make the experience even better as you will step into the shoes of the future leaders of the world, in 2050 and do what in your opinion is the best for your country. And it’s especially the case in our committee in which the debate will be concerned with artificial intelligence and designer babies. I am sure that if it’s your first MUN you will be pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable the experience will be, and if it’s not your first, then you will love how special the topics are. I look forward to meeting all of you and to having lots of fun with you.
KENZA AHAMRI Co-chair
Hello my name is Kenza and I am the cochair of the ethics committee.I have done a lot of MUNs that helped me having more general culture on the different countries and debating easily in front of strangers. The MUN experience that leaved his mark is the BGMUN who was held in Madrid who honoured me debating as the ambassador of Mexico and it was just amazing and very rewarding in addition of the extraordinary mix of cultures. I hope you’ll enjoy our AMMUN2020 as much as you can!
